We were pleased to welcome our District Governor Lorna Gunning-Fratschko to our Rotary meeting for her official visit.
Bringing greetings from the District, and sharing with us Rotary in 2026, our message, our goals for the world as it is today and looking forward to tomorrow. During the visit DG Lorna made the following presentations to members.

(L-R) Past Club President Colleen McGregor, Michael Strickland, DG Lorna Gunning-Fratschko
The Rotary president nomination, to Michael Strickland is for an Avenues of Service Award in Vocational Service. Michael, a certified financial planner, brought his skills to co-organize the Rotary Club's most significant fundraiser - the Wheelhouse and Beach Hut Concessions at the Goderich waterfront. Michael works with a committee to hire, mentor, and supervise about 15 young people (high school and university students) to gain valuable experience at the concessions each summer. He manages the financial elements to running this project, including payroll, inventory and scholarships for the students. Through this experience, many students moved on to study business.
